Potential affiliate revenue uplift
The opportunity behind the headline
10,000 clicks.
Two very different outcomes.
Imagine your publication generates 10,000 outbound clicks in a month. Your affiliate network and direct partner links already earn revenue. The opportunity lies in three other groups: subnetwork links, unmonetized direct links and dead campaign links.
| Link group | Clicks | Before | After |
|---|---|---|---|
| Affiliate subnetwork Better terms through approved network programmes | 4,987 | €897 | €1,196 |
| Affiliate network links Already monetized · unchanged | 2,516 | €503 | €503 |
| Direct partner links Existing paid partnerships · unchanged | 1,013 | €304 | €304 |
| Unmonetized direct links Eligible retailer links connected to approved programmes | 976 | €0 | €195 |
| Dead campaign links Eligible links reconnected to active campaigns | 508 | €0 | €157 |
| Total | 10,000 | €1,704 | €2,355 |
Keep more commission
Remove an assumed 25% subnetwork deduction through approved network access at equivalent gross commission terms.
Monetize overlooked links
Start earning from eligible direct retailer links that previously sent traffic without affiliate tracking.
Recover dead campaigns
Restore monetization where an inactive campaign has a suitable active replacement.
An extra €651 per month. The same 10,000 clicks.
How this example is calculated
The five groups describe the original link setup and do not overlap. Affiliate network and direct partner earnings stay unchanged. Subnetwork earnings increase from €897 to €1,196 by removing an assumed 25% deduction, with gross commission terms and conversion performance held constant.
For unmonetized direct links, 781 of 976 clicks become eligible for monetization and earn an assumed average of €25 per 100 eligible clicks. For dead campaign links, 393 of 508 clicks are recovered and earn an assumed average of €40 per 100 recovered clicks. Revenue is rounded to whole euros. The other 310 clicks remain unmonetized.
Different earnings rates reflect different merchant and content mixes. Recovery depends on active programmes and publisher approval. These are modelling assumptions, not guaranteed payments per click.
Where the revenue goes
Your content keeps working.
Your links should too.
Across a growing archive, small gaps in monetization can become a meaningful commercial opportunity. The assessment focuses on three areas.
Subnetwork commission deductions
Subnetwork convenience can come with a revenue share. Where approved network programmes offer better terms, the same sale could earn you more.
Compare what you keep today with what you could earn through your own approved programme access.
Unmonetized direct links
Buying guides, product recommendations and older articles can send readers straight to retailers without earning any commission.
Identify eligible links that can connect to active programmes you are already approved for.
Dead campaign links
Campaigns close. Advertisers move networks. Articles keep attracting clicks, but their old tracking links may no longer earn.
Find inactive campaigns with an eligible replacement and put those existing clicks back to work.

Before we talk
A few practical questions.
Will we earn 38% more?
The 38% figure comes from the example above. Your opportunity depends on your existing links, commission terms, campaign availability and conversion performance. The assessment helps establish what is relevant to your publication.
Do we need to stop using our subnetwork?
That depends on the value it provides for each partner. Direct programme access may offer better economics in some cases, while a subnetwork remains useful in others. We review your current setup and available alternatives with you.
Can every unmonetized link start earning?
No. A suitable active affiliate programme and publisher approval are required. The assessment distinguishes opportunities you can act on now from those that require new partner access.
What happens when a campaign moves networks?
Nordpar can match eligible links with an active campaign across your connected networks, subject to availability and approval. This reduces the need to revisit individual articles and manually replace links.
How much technical work is involved?
Setup requires network connections and a one-time tag installation. The work involved depends on your website, access permissions and existing tracking tools. We review those requirements before implementation.
Does the example include Nordpar’s fees?
No. It shows potential additional affiliate revenue before platform fees. Your business case should compare the expected earnings and time savings with the cost of the appropriate plan.
